On the 1st of September 2025, four leading Australian social media influencers wrapped up a highly successful promotional trip across Sri Lanka. The journey, organized by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), aimed to position Sri Lanka as the preferred long-haul travel destination for Australian tourists. The initiative was carefully designed to cater to the younger, experience-driven audience that increasingly seeks diverse, authentic, and sustainable travel options.The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau has partnered with four Australian influencers to promote Sri Lanka as a top travel destination for Aussie tourists. Here's what you need to know:

The Influencers

Sheridyn Fisher: A lifestyle and wellness creator with 490K Instagram followers and 3.4 million Facebook followers, promoting mindful living and elegant travel storytelling.

Ashley Parker: A dynamic Tik Tok star with 2.5 million TikTok followers and 252K Instagram followers, bringing a high-energy, adventure-driven narrative to her global audience.

Cerys Lily: A nurse-turned-travel creator with 215K TikTok followers and 40K Instagram followers, admired for her honest and relatable travel experiences.

Ella DelNore: A multi-talented digital nomad and eco-travel advocate with 194K TikTok followers, offering a unique lens focused on remote work, wellness, and eco-tourism 

The Campaign

The influencers spent nearly two weeks exploring Sri Lanka's iconic destinations, including:

Cultural landmarks: Sigiriya, Dambulla Cave Temple, and Temple of the Tooth Relic

Natural highlights: Ella train ride, Yala National Park, Pasikuda Beach, and Galle Fort

Modern developments: Port City Colombo and the Lotus Tower

The campaign aims to target younger, experience-driven travelers seeking authenticity, diversity, and sustainability in their travel choices. With a combined audience reach of over 9 million followers, this initiative is expected to generate wide-scale visibility for Sri Lanka and increase inbound arrivals, particularly during the upcoming southern summer season.
